Long-term performance of bio-based miscanthus mortar

چکیده
The long-term degradation behavior of embedded natural fibres is one the key factors restricting durability bio-based mortars and concretes. In this study, to minimize negative impact miscanthus fibre on service life mortar, effects different treatments (heat treatment, milling) performance mortar are investigated. Results show that heat-treated improve compressive strength flexural by 82.7% 26.9%, respectively, compared reference fibre, thanks reduced porosity enhanced compatibility. mechanical mainly occurs in first month after being soaked water. Moreover, alkaline environment causes dissolution some cellulosic components, resulting fibre. removal sugar from conducive development mortar. It concluded can be applied dimensional stability resistance for better application sustainable building materials.
